FFP UK Tour | Day Four
June 18, 2016 | Manchester, England
The show opened up with clips from the entire FFP UK Tour, highlighting the men’s and women’s ANY Case Tournaments.
Number One Contender Match
Ochoa & Hiroki Ito vs Chad Lyons & Brian Kamen
A very back and forth match with all four men seeing moments of offense. A lot of stiff chops and kicks from Hiroki Ito. Chad Lyons and Brian Kamen had the advantage when it came to tag team experience, but it was Hiroki hitting Brian Kamen with the Go to Sleep for the three count. Ochoa and Hiroki now earned another chance at Prince Tau and Jackson Pearce.
Women’s ANY Case Tournament | Semifinal
Lacey Abernathy w/ Masina vs Fiona Burke
Lacey Abernathy came into the match with a lot of boos from the crowd. Masina got involved, like everyone expected. Fiona fought and fought, eventually superkicking Masina off the ring apron. She turned around only to get destroyed by a running big boot from Lacey. Abernathy then hooked Fiona in the Code Red Armbar. Fiona stretched and clawed to get to the ropes. And eventually got to them. Masina got back up and grabbed Fiona on the apron. Lacey charged, and Fiona moved out of the way. Lacey crashed into Masina opening up the opportunity for Fiona to plant Lacey with the FAB Drop for the pinfall.
Men’s ANY Case Tournament | Semifinal
Logan Christopher vs Deshaun Reed
A fast paced match for sure. These two had clashed before, and this was definitely the best match they had ever had. A lot of high flying that proved that both men could be candidates for the number one contender for the Cruiserweight Title. Logan Christopher planted Deshaun with a Death Valley Driver and went up top for the Shooting Star Press. However Deshaun interrupted Logan before he could hit the move, causing him to straddle the top turnbuckle. Deshaun then went up top and hit an impressive Crash Landing from the top for the three count.
FFP Adrenaline Title
(c) Christopher Morgan w/ Lux vs Mateo Chavez
A very strong main event featuring an OWF superstar (who was also the former ALS Light Heavyweight Champion) Mateo Chavez who had actually had a chance at the Adrenaline Championship. Christopher Morgan beat Mateo down and hit him with chops, a big backbreaker and a butterfly suplex from the top rope. Mateo battled back, working Christopher down and hitting him with his own finisher, the Tiger Driver. Chavez went for the pin, but the Adrenaline Champion kicked out. Mateo brought Christopher up again and planted him with another Tiger Driver! It looked to be over for the champion. Chavez pinned him again, but again Morgan barely got his shoulder up before the three. Chavez now hooked Morgan in the Gogoplata. Morgan was in trouble. Reaching and stretching for the ropes. Lux screamed, worried her boyfriend’s title reign would come to a screeching halt here in Manchester. The resourceful Christopher Morgan rolled around and forced Mateo onto his shoulders, pulling the tights and getting the three count. The referee didn’t notice the pulling of the tights and Morgan walked away still the champion.
