August 20, 2016 | New Orleans, Louisiana
The show began with Logan Christopher along with his girlfriend Brandi Moore. Logan spoke about Joey DeMarco and his threat to possibly get to Brandi at Blaze of Glory next Sunday. Logan said that over his dead body that Joey would get a hold of Brandi, and that at Blaze of Glory that he would take Joey down.
Deshaun Reed vs Chad Lyons
A back and forth fast paced match. Deshaun had been striving to climb the ladder to the top while Chad normally tagged with Brian Kamen. Deshaun Reed hit the Crash Landing for the three count.
The scene cut backstage where Odell Porter was being interviewed by Tyrece Beckman. Beckman asked Odell if he had any thoughts on possibly cashing in his ANY Case at Blaze of Glory. Odell said that he honestly did not, and wouldn’t tell if he planned on it.
Former FFP backstage interviewer and now aspiring manager Michael Graham walked into view and smiled at Odell, telling him that the two should talk.
Adam Black vs Eddie Siebenthaler
These two had battled quite a few times lately as Adam had Logan Christopher’s back against his fight with The Mafia. Black handed out a beating to Siebenthaler, but the big man stopped Adam in his tracks with a big boot. He then planted him with the Crucifix Powerbomb for the three count.
After the match Eddie continued his assault on Adam. Joey DeMarco came out to assist his stablemate. Possibly wanting to make sure Adam was beaten down enough and couldn’t be at Blaze of Glory to possibly have Logan’s back. But as the two-on-one continued Logan Christopher stormed the ring. The Mafia quickly retreated.
The scene cut backstage where Giovanni Gotch and Lizzy Kraven had gotten into a face to face argument. Security was quick to get inbetween the women and not let them fight. They would lock horns next weekend at Blaze of Glory.
On August 28, 2016 live from Baton Rouge Full Force Pro presents it’s August pay-per-view Blaze of Glory. Join us for a night of non-stop wrestling action featuring Daniel Matthews defending the World Title against Genocide, as well as Quinn Delaney defending the Women’s Title against Farrah Kraven.
The scene cut backstage where Raquel St Claire was joined by the FFP Women’s Champion Quinn Delaney. Quinn spoke about her upcoming match with Farrah Kraven at Blaze of Glory. Quinn said that she used to respect Farrah but not anymore. She said that she and Farrah were capable of putting on great matches, by said that she figured Farrah would try some underhanded tactics since she knows she wouldn’t stand a chance against Quinn.
Farrah Kraven then interrupted, stepping up to the champion. Farrah said that she wouldn’t have to try underhanded tactics because Quinn couldn’t even lace her boots. The women went nose to nose. It will be a battle at Blaze of Glory!
Masina vs Jenna Kaufman
You’d have to describe this match as a squash match. Masina planted Jenna early with a big powerslam. She then floored Jenna with the Samoan Spike for the three count.
Masina had stated earlier in the week on ffpwrestling.com that she was done playing, and it indeed seemed like she was.
In the Ring
The scene cut back to the ring where the new FFP Hall of Famer Nina Fox came to the ring to talk about her match with Cindy Labre at Blaze of Glory. Nina talked about how she knew that April Hunter would get involved, but when Nina won the match despite that, that she would prove she was the better woman.
Cindy and April then came out to the ring. Cindy told Nina that she didn’t stand a chance. Then, Cindy and April attacked Nina, first by April hitting Nina from behind, then the two pummeling her down. The beatdown ended when Cindy pinned Nina down by stepping down on her hand and slipping her FFP Hall of Fame ring off of her finger. Cindy put it on her finger and walked away with April, holding the ring in the air for the crowd to see.
FFP Adrenaline Title
(c) Odell Porter vs Lewis Weaver
A very competitive and hard hitting match. Both wrestlers had distinct styles, with Odell hitting some athletic moves while Lewis hit some stiff shots. Lewis hit a spinning elbow which seemed to knock Odell silly, but the champion kicked out at two.
Lewis next but a turnbuckle powerbomb followed by a running big boot. As Lewis went for the pin Michael Graham walked to the ring. He was seen speaking with Odell earlier in the night. Lewis got a two count, and Odell fought back. Using some athletic maneuvers like a springboard dropkick and a flying elbow drop, Odell set Weaver up and hit the Regal Plex for the three count.
After the match Michael joined Odell in the ring, going for a handshake. But Odell refused, walking away from the aspiring manager.
The scene cut backstage where Brandi Moore and Taylor Clawson were talking. Veronica Clyne approached and announced that their opponents at Blaze of Glory for the Women’s Tag Team Titles would be Mona Skye and Marcy Tillman.
Hiroki Ito vs Kashimanki
Two awesome Japanese competitors going at it in a very hard hitting stiff matchup. Kashimanaki got the early advantage, and in typical Kashimanaki fashion, he used his kicks to wear Ito down. However, Ito, the former HONOR World Champion fought back using hard knees and elbows to rock the new FFP Hall of Famer. It was Hiroki who hoisted Kashimanaki up onto his shoulders and hit the Go to Sleep for the three count.
After the match the two men shook hands. There was mutual respect there.
The scene cut backstage where Michael Graham had approached Deshaun Reed. He invited Deshaun into an office to talk about things. Obviously this was another attempt from Graham at signing a wrestler.
Daniel Matthews vs Caligula
Daniel Matthews seemed to handle Caligula quite well. Caligula, a former FFP Cruiserweight Champion used his speed to attempt to wear Daniel out, but a big German suplex slowed Caligula down. As Matthews wore his opponent out, Genocide and the rest of SUCCUMB made their way down to ringside. Matthews kept them at a distance, swinging at whoever would step up onto the apron.
As the referee threw the match out, Synn rushed down the isle and took Vanity down. The two women began to brawl back and forth. This gained the attention of Genocide, Attila and Hades. Matthews used this distraction to hit the ropes and take all three standing members of SUCCUMB down with a suicide dive.
Vanity gained the upperhand on Synn by whipping her into the steel guardrail by her dark hair.
Meanwhile Matthews continued the assault on Genocide. However the numbers game went against the World Champion. They beat Matthews down and held him down against the cold steel entrance ramp. Genocide laid into the champion, punch after punch until blood finally began to ooze out of Daniel’s forehead.
Genocide then pulled Daniel up and leveled him with the Genocide Effect on the steel. Making a point to Daniel that this very well could happen at Blaze of Glory next Sunday, Genocide rolled Daniel over and pinned him. Attila made the count like a referee would. Genocide stood up and overtop of the champion. Once against Genocide had gotten the best of Daniel Matthews.
