The show opened up with the entrance of the FFP World Champion Matt Kraven, and his wife, the owner of FFP, Amanda Kraven. Matt got on the microphone and said that he was pretty sure that the Desperate Measures pay-per-view would most likely tank because no one wanted to see him beat Matt Evanston again. Kraven said that it would be as easy as pie and that the FFP fans probably weren’t interested in seeing Kraven in a glorified warm up match.
This brought Matt Evanston out. He looked to be pretty agitated at Kraven’s cockiness. Evanston said that if Kraven was so sure, why wouldn’t he just face him tonight and show how easy it would be. Kraven quickly butted in, saying if he wiped the floor with Evanston tonight, no one would buy Desperate Measures. Evanston then made it more interesting, saying that if he lost to Kraven tonight, he would step out of their match at Desperate Measures. Kraven smiled and agreed to the match.
Cooper Albright vs Trent Wolfe
A hard hitting match between two wrestlers with quite a bit of experience, although new to the FFP audience. Trent Wolfe had the edge when it came to speed and striking, but Cooper Albright was a brawler, with technical wrestling skills as well. Albright looked to have the match well in hand, and hit a brainbuster for a close two count. But Trent fought back, and rocked Albright with a running knee to the skull, immediately followed by a snap German suplex. Cooper fought back, using rights and lefts to send Trent stumbling back. Cooper charged at Wolfe, but Wolfe caught him with a devastating STO. Trent kept a hold of Albright’s arm, and turned the move into a Fujiwara armbar. Cooper screamed in pain. He wasn’t quite in the middle of the ring, but he wasn’t close enough to the ropes to get the hold broken. And Trent had the move securely locked in. Brian Young made note of the torque that Wolfe had on his opponent’s arm. Finally, Cooper Albright tapped out. Trent Wolfe was your winner by submission.
The scene cut backstage where Odell Porter was with his girlfriend Saraya Varro. Joey DeMarco walked up, saying he was trying to put in a good word for Saraya to get her hired in FFP. Obviously Odell took exception and a brawl broke out. Security quickly intervened and separated the two men, dragging Odell away as he screamed at Joey.

Unattainable vs Kemina & Firefly
Beth Tilly and Sophia Ishmael made their FFP debut against the very capable team of Kemina and Firefly. Kemina and Firefly gained the upperhand early, using some technical wrestling with a mixture of brawling. But the move that turned the tide was a huge clothesline courtesy of Beth Tilly, who tagged out to Sophia who landed an impressive springboard dropkick. Kemina tried to get back into the ring, but Beth knocked her down with a spear, which sent Kemina rolling to the outside. Unattainable then planted Firefly into the mat with a double DDT for the three count. An impressive debut for Beth Tilly and Sophia Ishmael.
The scene cut backstage where Lux was being interviewed by Tyrece Beckman. She said that she may be a rookie but that Lenore Spade needs taught a lesson, and she’d be the one to teach it to her. Lenore and her friend Simone Williams then stepped into view. Lenore gave attitude to Lux, saying she’d never beat her. Lenore then spun around so her hair hit Lux in the face. Then, Simone hit Lux with a right hand, sending her down to her knees. Lenore and Simone stormed away as Lux held her face.
Elijah King vs Deshaun Reed
A respectful match which started with a handshake. Elijah King was good friends with JJ Perry, and had quite a bit of wrestling knowledge under his belt. The size advantage definitely came into play here. And after Elijah hit a belly-to-belly suplex off the middle rope, he brought Deshaun up into the air and hit a Jackhammer for the three count.
Next we saw Jaqueline Aulstrike and Tabitha Mullins in their locker room hanging out with the FFP Women’s Tag Team Titles. They assured everyone that at Desperate Measures that they would take Lizzy Kraven and Olivia Lee down and keep the titles in their possession.
Sunday February 25, FFP presents Desperate Measures live from Charlotte, North Carolina. There, we will see Amy Kraven put the FFP Women’s Title on the line against Nina Fox, Aiden Conrad battle Anarchy for the Adrenaline Title, and the in-ring debut of Lux! You won’t want to miss this!
If Matt Kraven Wins, Evanston is Out at Desperate Measures
Matt Kraven w/ Amanda Kraven vs Matt Evanston
Matt Kraven came out still looking cocky, carrying his title on one shoulder and snacking on a pack of gummy bears. Matt Evanston came out looking like he had his eye on the prize. He would finally defeat Matt Kraven and show the world that he was legit. The match started slow, with Kraven continuing to escape from Evanston’s grasp. But as soon as Evanston was able to get his hands on the champion, he hit him with everything he had. Evanston hoisted Kraven up for a Go to Sleep, but the World Champion was able to escape his grasp and hit him with a chop block from behind. From that point on Kraven’s gameplan was to work down Matt Evanston’s knee.
Evanston returned the favor, working on Kraven’s leg as well, attempting to take the Superkick out of his gameplan. But Kraven’s gameplan became apparent too. As Everett Moses walked down the isle and stood with his arms crossed, watching the match. Kraven eventually got the upperhand with a rake to the eye, and tossed Evanston to the arena floor. As Kraven grabbed the referee for the distraction, Everett Moses laid into Evanston. Not only did Everett floor Evanston with a hard clothesline on the arena floor, but he picked him up and violently Irish whipped him into the steel steps. The sound made the referee immediately turn to see what happened, but Everett put his hands up, and was standing several feet from Evanston. The referee warned Everett, but the damage was done. Kraven got out of the ring and fired Evanston back in. Kraven set Evanston up for the Superkick. If he hit this move, he would surely defeat Matt Evanston and have a night off at Desperate Measures. He went for the Superkick, but Evanston ducked it. When Kraven turned back around, Evanston scooped him up onto his shoulders and successfully hit the Go to Sleep. Everett quickly climbed up onto the apron, but Evanston hit him with a roaring elbow, knocking him to the arena floor. Evanston then made the cover on Kraven. The referee slid into position. 1…2…3! Matt Evanston had defeated the FFP World Champion, and cemented his championship opportunity at Desperate Measures.
After the match, Everett slid into the ring and attacked Evanston, who didn’t even have a chance to celebrate. As Kraven got back to his senses, he joined in the beat down. That is until Evanston’s former partner Nathan Caine charged the ring. Kraven and Everett quickly called an audible, sliding out of the ring and joining Amanda Kraven in walking backstage. Meanwhile, Nathan checked on his friend.
